Only 02:45 hours from Quito we will reach San Isidro lodge with a beautiful and classy restaurant and terrace from where you can watch the super common inca jay, northern mountain cacique and subtropical cacique these all come in large quantities. But you will also get to see from this relaxing terrace many other species such as Blackburnian Warbler, Montane Woodcreeper, Olivaceous Woodcreeper, Pale Edged Flycatcher, and even the super special san Isidro Owl, a subspecies of the Black Banded Owl, very few can claim to have their own owl and San Isidro is one of them.
Of course it has a hummingbird feeder with some special species such as the Long Tailed Hummingbird, Chestnut Breasted Hummingbird and more. This terrace is simply a photographers paradise. A morning walk to the antpitta feeder will give you the chance to see the White Bellied Antpitta.
San Isidro also has some a very well kept trail network which will give you the chance to see some unique species such as the Summer Tanager, White Capped Tanager, Blue Crowned Motmot, Saffron Crowned Tanager, and the elusive Swallowed Tailed Nightjar just to name a few.
